Ladies–do you suffer from chronic hyper-adornment? There’s nothing worse than overpowering a great outfit with an excessive application of removeable jewelry, and you may not even notice that you’ve succumbed to this fashion pit-fall. I have found that headbands are frequent perpetrators; they are eyecatching (which is great) but should be paired with simple earrings and minimal extras. I love Coco Chanel’s mantra – “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.” I’m not one to leave the house without earrings, but I can usually detect a superfluous bracelet or necklace. After all, less is always more.
